Very bad service to collect broken notebook to repair
CCI Sales Center sold a Lenovo notebook over the phone on my MTN account in March 2018. The notebook don't want to charge. I went to the MTN store in Kolonnade to enquire on how they can fix it as the device is still under warranty. They advised to bring the device to the store. I went back to the MTN store just to be given a phone number to call. I have been sent from pillar to post without any help. I have logged email queries with ********** also with no feedback. I phoned the Customer Care Enquiries number + ********** just to be told that I need to phone another number. I contacted the other MTN Number to be told again I need to speak to the the technical people to come and collect the notebook to fix. When I finally got hold of the First Technology Group in Durban who needs to fix the notebook, they requested a lot of information, Serial number, Model, etc. I even sent them a picture of the box with the warranty and serial number, model etc. They requested a proof of purchase. I informed them that I did not receive a tax invoice as this amount is deducted with debit order from my MTN account. After several phone calls I got Proof of purchase but now they want a TAX invoice with the serial number and store stamp on. In the meantime I have to pay the debit order monthly without the device working. I need this to be sorted out between MTN and whomever they use to sell devices on their behalf. This has been going on for weeks. Very bad service! Now I must phone the courier service that delivered the device for a invoice. I phoned DSV Mounties and held on for over 7 minutes just to be put through to another department (parcels). Really!
