Very bad internet speeds for months now (cant cancel my contracts)
Hi, for the last couple of months I've been struggling with Internet speeds on the mtn network. Although I have full signal on towers at Grootdrink Tower 1427 and Zandam tower 1640 all my 33 mtn contracts with mtn are experiencing massive decrease in speeds. speedtests of up to 0.5 on full signal 3G - I have submitted numerous reports to this problem and are now signing up a petition for my area where EVERYONE is complaining about this. This the whole 100km strecth from Upington to Groblershoop.

18 Oct 2018, 08:59Thank you - please let someone contact me for I have everything ready (including co ordinates of over 50 locations (clients of mtn) who are also experiencing extremely slow internet speeds.
I had to buy Vodacom prepaid data for this reply for my business also has 10 contracts with MTN but I can't even reply this on hellopeter for the speeds are currently 1.2 on speedtest. full signal 3G.
This problem is definitely to do with the towers in the area between Groblershoop and Upington being overloaded or oversubscribed whatever you may call it.
I also have Cell sector ID's with speedtest of each co ordinate stretching across 100km with all full signal from the nearest MTN tower with maximum speedtest of up to 2. Not even to mention in peak hours.
If MTN does not plan on upgrading the backbone or LTE in this area they could suffer major client loss from this area due to Vodacom currently speedtesting 22 on speedtest.net and in peak hours an average of 10
Please advise and let the technician or someone contact me. We will have a meaningful conversation - which will ease the frustration of over a 120 mtn contract holders in my area which are all fed up and wanting to switch to vodacom.
