Very bad customer service from MTN.

I have my cell number for 16 years and as from when MTN took over my account from Nashua mobile my experience with MTN is just very bad. First it was a huge strugglle to get a new credit rating because MTN do not look at any of the customer info they took over. Evntuay with a huge struggle, 3 months, to resolve t.

I did an upgrade on Saurday just to find out on Monday that I am not able to make International calls. I am responsible for 4 African usinesses and now Ihave no communication with them. My local MTN shop was able to resolve that with a huge struggle. In the meantime I receive sms messages about a new credit limit which is a third of what my credit limit was before the upgrade. On Tuesday morning it was the same problem. Nt allowed to make International calls. Again my local shop try to resolve the problem. they were able to get me going temporary by Wednesday, again credit limit issues is still not resolved. MTN headoffice just do not reply to the local shop and MTN have no contact info that me as a customer can talk to them directly to try and resolve the issue. I lock a question and a complaint on the MTN website but zero reponse from MTN.

How is it possible that only by changing a phone with a new agreement with MTN the customer's profile and account can end up in such a bad state with zero response and customer service from MTN ?

Thank you for your post

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience that you have experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.

Please note that the credit limit on your account is determined after your credit history and rating has been evaluated in accordance to the National Credit Act.
We have noted that the usage limit has been set to R4955.00, this is the amount that will be available for your out of bundle spend which will allow additional usage/charges on your account other than your monthly subscription. You can manage the usage limit by dialling *141*1*7852#ok.

Rest assured it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Kind Regards
Siphumezo

Dear Siphumezo

Thank you for the feedback

It is clear that you did not read my complaint properly and that you did not look at my account history before you responded. Before the upgrade my credit limit was R 12 000. My question again - how come only a change of hardware changed my account? if you looked into the detail on my account you will also see that the new credit limit is less of what is indicated on your bill as avaerage as from March 2016 at R 7608 per month. so your statement about credit history do not match up. I still want to know what changed my account info with the upgrade from what it was.
