I am furious beyond belief, the incompetence of MTN is incredible. After numerous e-mails and telephone calls we finally succeeded in moving my wife's no number to prepaid, I had even had stopped debt order for MTN, yet yesterday they attempted to deduct R652.80. The bank (FNB) charged me R100 for the refused debt as I have moved our money into a savings account.
I called the bank and I was informed that it is not the FNB fault as it is not uncommon for Service providers to change details of original debt order in order to slip past blocked debt orders??? That I should take it up with MTN. Like i am going to have any luck with them, they will only tell me they will expedite the problem. I really dont know how far one can expedite a problem but with MTN that could be forever.
We informed MTN a month before as required (May 2015) that we will be moving to pre- paid. we only received e- mail in July confirming this, all the while they deducted a monthly subscription. we would like our money back please.
