Useless MTN Vetting and Legal Department
So after a year of using prepaid airtime as opposed to a contract, I decided to bite the bullet and apply for a contract. Due to already having a MTN number and wanting to keep this number, I decided to take a contract with MTN and keep my number. So I visited the Pavilion branch and filled in the relevant documents and the application was submitted for vetting.

A day later I received a call from the consultant I dealt with at the MTN store and was notified that my application was declined as there is a legal matter relating to the number that I wish to keep as there are outstanding amounts due from a contract that ended one year ago.

I cannot for the life of me understand how this is possible as my previous contract was not renewed after 24 months, I had settled all outstanding amounts (and have the MTN statement to prove it) and this dates back to September 2014. Further more, MTN only allow you to convert your contract number to prepaid once all amounts are settled.

The MTN consultant is going to contact the legal team to rectify the issue but MTN yet again you prove that you are the epitome of useless and pathetic service. Can MTN get anything right??????
