Useless MTN

I recently purchased a new MTN number unfortunately said number was previously owned by a mr Morudu who neglected to change his number at the bank or at any of his creditors. I get frequent calls from these creditors even FNB who all promptly inform me when I tell them I am not Morudu that untill he changes the number they will just keep calling me.

I contacted MTN explaining that I received this number and that same was Rica'd in my name which they confirm however they cannot guarantee me free and unencumbered use of the new number. I feel same is not acceptable and surely MTN has a responsibility to consumers to provide them with an unencumbered cell number
