USELESS INSURANCE SERVICE - IF WE CAN EVEN CALL IT THAT!

After being insured for 3,5 years, I finally had the misfortune of losing my phone. First reported on the 30th May to MTN, I have been thrown from pillar to post, resubmitted documents, emailed, been bargained with on a phone - because the MTN rule is that if you lost a Samsung you're replaced with a Samsung - your insurance does not have a RAND value, it carries a BRAND value! Then when they finally agreed to replace the RAND value, Kwenza Ngubane from Pinnacle decided to bargain over a phone, the way they do at an Indian market. While I was looking for a phone, the young man saw an opportunity to sharpen his auctioneering s****s - which has been nothing short of irritating!

Today it is the 14th of June, and I still have no phone. Not to mention that my husband saw a message from MTN yesterday, stating that they are struggling to get hold of me to finalise the claim. I ask again, where do they expect to get hold of me when they were notified of my phone loss, and know that they have not replaced it?

This has caused me loss of income, it is a hinderence to my work, it affects my safety and the security and welfare of my children; it has just brought my life to a halt! 16 days later, I still have no idea when this useless insurer is going to replace my phone. This has now become ridiculous.

I am insured for R15 000 - please just deposit my money so I can buy myself a phone, without having to deal with you Auctioneers in training.
