I upgraded my Data contract with MTN last year (2015) in September and got an Ipad.Hardly 8 months later the device developed a battery problem and can only be used while connected to the mains ans it discharges very quickly the minute it is disconnected. I took it in as I was under the impression that the device issued with a 24 months contract would be covered by a warranty, only to be told after two weeks that the battery warranty expired after 6 months. I'm now told that not only am I expected to pay for the battery, I also need to pay R2000.00 for the screen as they cannot replace the battery without damaging the screen. I am now sitting on a 24 months warranty with a device that I cannot use unless I pay ~3500 to fix.
