Hi,
I recently moved into a new apartment, where FIBRE is controlled by MTN, so only MTN can provide for the installation of the FIBRE in my complex.
The MTN service is very slow and even impossible to communicate with them, since 8 weeks I try to have a technician who can come and do the installation. After many weeks I had to give up and cancel the contract made with HOME CONNECT, to have the normal ADSL installed by TELKOM in 2 days. I believe that anyone has the right to request FIBRE in their own home with installation times that are understandably modest, if MTN considered not by me alone but by the South African majority one of the worst Internet Providers should step aside to make room for the companies that can provide a fast and efficient service. I highly recommend to all those who intend to buy an apartment to think well before buying if the FIBRE is managed by MTN, better to buy somewhere else.
