Used number
<p>I opend a new contract with mtn but they gave me an used number. I do receive calls and sms's from people i don't know and also the airtime just get lost over night. I phoned mtn and they said i must go to the dealer and they have to do a sim swap to fix the problem at the dealer they say there is nothing wrong but in the mean time i lost all my airtime</p>

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.
Kindly note that numbers are allocated by the Regulatory board and we abide by Regulatory board’s number efficiency policy, if a pool of numbers allocated by the board is depleted, and if a sim is dormant for 90 days the sim is deactivated and the number is recycled and allocated to a new sim card.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and would like to assure you that we are actively working to improve our service levels.
