Urgent: ********* Conduct by MTN South Africa GM Company Secretary - Advocate Mateboho Rantofi

I am writing this review to bring attention to my unfortunate experience with Advocate Mateboho Rantofi, who currently serves as the GM Company Secretary at MTN South Africa. It is with great disappointment that I feel compelled to highlight the ********* behavior exhibited by a person in such a high-ranking position within the company.

I had the displeasure of renting a property from Advocate Rantofi from December 27, 2019, to January 31, 2021. At the conclusion of our lease agreement, Advocate Rantofi unjustifiably withheld my deposit, citing an extensive list of fabricated damages. In response, I took legal action against her and successfully presented my case before the Western Cape Rental Housing Tribunal. The Tribunal ruled in my favor, vindicating my position and exposing the baseless claims made by Advocate Rantofi.

However, despite the Tribunal's decision, Advocate Rantofi has managed to evade the Sheriff during the execution of the warrant, obstructing the resolution of this matter. Such actions are deeply concerning, particularly coming from a legal professional and representative of MTN South Africa. This conduct is blatantly inconsistent with the Code of Conduct for legal practitioners in South Africa, raising serious doubts about the ethical standards upheld by both Advocate Rantofi and MTN South Africa.

I firmly believe that the prompt resolution of this matter is not only essential for the sake of justice but is also crucial for preserving the reputation and ethical standards of legal professionals and the broader MTN South Africa organization. It is disheartening to witness such behaviour from someone in a position of authority and trust.
