Urgent Assistance Required: Unauthorised Debit from My Personal Account – MTN Business Contract

Dear MTN Business Team,

I am requesting urgent assistance regarding my MTN Business contract.

I have had an MTN Business contract for more than 15 years. Throughout this period, my monthly account has been paid by the Gauteng Department of e-Government through the Department’s business account.

However, since 15 July 2026, MTN has been deducting the monthly payment from my personal bank account. I have checked with my employer, and I have been assured that the Department’s MTN Business account is up to date and that all payments have been made as required.

Despite this, MTN also deducted an amount from my personal bank account in August 2026.

I visited the MTN branch at Southgate to resolve the matter, but I was advised to contact the MTN Call Centre. When I contacted the Call Centre, I was informed that they could not access or assist with the Department’s Business Account.

This situation is causing me considerable stress and concern. I have had to reverse the debit order because the payments should be processed through the Department’s business account. I am also concerned that the reversed debit orders may negatively affect my credit record, despite the fact that the business account is up to date.

I therefore urgently request that someone from the MTN Business Accounts/Business Customer Service team assist me in resolving this matter. I would appreciate it if the incorrect debit from my personal account could be investigated and the necessary arrangements made to ensure that future payments are correctly processed through the Department’s business account.

Kindly also confirm that this matter will not negatively affect my credit record, as the issue is not due to non-payment on my part.

Please treat this matter as urgent and provide me with a reference number and feedback on how this issue will be resolved.

I look forward to your urgent assistance.

Kind regards, Julena Gxoyiya
