Upgrading nightmare

Since MTNSP took over my account from Nashua, I have had nothing but problems.
When I did my upgrade, I was told that the only way I can get the phone I wanted was to get a more expensive contract. They refused to simply let me pay the difference.
At the end of the month, my account got suspended because my new contract is suddenly more than my credit limit.
The credit department says the shop should have checked.
The shop says they cannot check, and I should have checked.
I did not know about this credit limit, else I would have checked.
BTW, it takes about an hour of holding on to get someone to check your limit.
I spoke to MTN Saturday, Sunday and Monday (today), and each time they promised my account will be reactivated in the next 24 hours.

So is short:
1. I was forced to upgrade to a contract I did not want in order to get the phone I wanted.
2. This forced upgrade sent me over my credit limit, which no one bothered to check or inform me about.
3. My account is still suspended, even though MTN has happily deducted the money from my account.
