Upgrades

We have had a problem with MTN for a while now regarding the upgrades on our contracts. We have been with MTN for about 18 years now and all we have received from them is bad service, we requested a upgrade on our contracts but as proven below it was a real struggle. We arranged with MTN to do the upgrade here in Thabazimbi , Limpopo as they were the closest to us, and then they told us that the one phone was not in stock. After a few emails and a week of waiting if not more, they informed us that we can go to them on the Saturday to sign the contracts. We went on the Saturday only to find that none of the paperwork was in order and the lady working the Saturday was not even informed about us coming to sign the contracts. This lead to a further delay. After a few weeks this became a really big problem as there was still nothing done regarding the upgrade, they do not respond to you or give any feedback on what is going on or what the delay was. After phoning several times I was informed that some documents have not been sent and had to send it through. They could have informed me about this on a earlier stage. So we decided that we are going to cancel the upgrades. We sent an email through and contacted 809 of MTN requesting to cancel the contracts as the upgrades have not been done yet or anything, we wanted to move to Vodacom.

Went through the whole process with MTN 809 and they informed us that they were working on our request, we even received a reference number. Then they informed us that the numbers were now pay as you go and the contracts was cancelled, but on the very same day the afternoon we received messages from MTN saying our upgrades were successful. I do not understand how that is possible , as we cancelled them and migrated to Vodacom. About a week later the courier comes to deliver a package and it was our MTN phones. The new ones, they were supposed to be cancelled as we never did the upgrade. We moved over to Vodacom with those cellphone numbers . We sent the phones back but now the very big problem is that MTN still takes the money for those contracts even though we cancelled them and sent back the phones. We have been paying MTN for the past two months still, and we have been paying our Vodacom contracts as well for two months. This is completely unacceptable as we can not be paying this much for phones, as it is now a double payment to two different companies when one is clearly not used anymore and failed to cancel the contracts.

How can we still be paying MTN when we were successfully migrated to Vodacom?
