Upgraded but numbers no longer on the MTN Network!!

I had started the process to move all 4 of my numbers to Telkom, but then changed my mind and contacted MTN Direct to see if I could still stay with MTN and upgrade. I upgraded 4 numbers. 1 upgrade went smoothly. The second upgrade : there was a delay in receiving the new phone and the wrong colour was ordered which meant a further delay, we eventually received the correct phone 3 weeks later. The other 2 numbers were data upgrades, but it turns out that the numbers had already been ported to Telkom and yet MTN still allowed the upgrades to go through. So now I have 2 numbers that are not active on the MTN network and yet the contracts are active! The consultant said no problem we can do a number swop, but then went on leave for a month!! I have since been going round in circles from one department to another with no one able or willing to assist. I always land up back at Direct Sales who are supposedly the only deptartment that can cancel the contract without me incurring charges for the 2 year contract. Emails have been sent all over MTN and yet not one person actually gets back to me. Albert from Activations is the only person who confirmed that the numbers are not active and therefore the contracts are not valid, but again other than sending an email he has no power to help me. The supervisor for Direct Sales kept palming me off to other unhelpful consultants and then he also went on leave! He now ignores all my emails and phone calls. I have the name of his Supervisor, so will be taking that route next, but I am not hopeful that this will be resolved anytime soon. In the meantime Telkom are benefitting from me having to by Prepaid data and airtime for those 2 numbers as they are active on the Telkom network! At the end of the day I still want to keep the MTN contracts, but I need working numbers and I don't mind getting new numbers, but this seems to be an impossible tas****!
