Upgrade - #***6

Changing Mobile ISP after 15 years of service. Every person I knew that had a contract through Autopage hated them. Strange enough I was fortunate to get only GREAT service. UNTIL my account was moved to MTN. They are ***********. Their Call centre agents (that I have spoken too) are rude and make it sound as if they are doing me a favour by listening to me. I even had the pleasure of one of them putting the phone down in my ear.

The above Ref No. is requesting a copy of the call that I had where the Call Centre Agent (Sipho Ntuli) was not even interested in what I was saying to him. To date (more than 2 weeks later) I have not so much as received an SMS from MTN.

Vodacom here I come

Well it is more than a week now. Other than an email asking for my personal information (yes, and my PIN) to be emailed to their customer services email address. No-one has called me as yet. This is proof of MTN customer service!

Still no response. From what I read here and on other forums, this appears to be the norm.
This weekend, I decided to take a drive to the MTN store in Centurion. No better solution! The gentleman I spoke to had to refer to a manual everytime I asked a question about features on the S8. When I decided to go ahead with the upgrade, I get told they have the phone, but do not have a S3Gear. And he could no say when they will get more. I should rather go to the other Centurion Store as he is sure they have the S3 Gear. So I went to the other MTN store, only to get told they have the S3 Gear but no S8 handsets. And they cannot transfer from one store to another.
The woes continue...
