Update on MTN ***** Case – Ongoing Delays and Lack of Action

Following my initial complaint regarding an unauthorized account opened in my name using my ID, I would like to provide an update:

After multiple requests, I submitted a signed affidavit and a certified copy of my ID, stamped by a Commissioner of Oaths, to MTN as required for their investigation. Although I promptly comp****, MTN is now claiming that the original ID copy was "cut off at the top" — despite me resending a full, clear copy.

It is clear that MTN is using unnecessary delays to stall the investigation, instead of addressing the ***** properly. While the *****ulent account holder’s name (Tsepo) and cellphone number ***) have already been identified, MTN has yet to take decisive action.

I have comp**** fully with every request. There is no legitimate reason for these delays, and it appears that MTN is failing in its duty to protect customers' identities and act against *****.

If this matter is not resolved urgently, I will have no option but to escalate further via public channels and seek legal advice.

Customers are warned: Please monitor your bank accounts closely if you are linked to MTN in any way! ***** is real — and sadly, so is poor customer service.
