Unsubstantiated charges
This is a warning to all would be MTN clients.
I had a 2 year data contract paid monthly by debit order with MTN. No one told me that I had to end the contract so they caught me for one month there!!- as I naturally thought 2 year contract = 2 years - not so - you have to physically end the contract and that's a mission because you get passed from pillar to post to achieve this and the staff are neither capable , informed and unhelpful.
Then a demand from MTN to pay another R399 after the contract had been closed. As one cannot exceed the data amount per month and the contract is paid by debit order - Go figure
And on enquiry as to how they arrive at the figure they respond - they are not able to provide an itemised billing to justify the charges. And then a lawyers letter from a company called VVM who inform me that they have changed my status at the credit bureau and they now want R899!!.. and and and
The whole thing lacks transparency and is nothing short of devious, manipulative, unfair and I think *******.
I will be taking them on and anyone else who has a similar problem can join me. A class action may be the way to go on this as I am sure I am not the only one
