Recieved a message at 13:26 thanking me for subscribing to Comics Club @ R2.50/day from 083 123 686. A quick google and I see it's been a common issue with MTN. Hellopeter has a few of these complaints. What on earth MTN? Why should I cancel something I never signed up for?

Please note that there are different content charges. One way of removing them is by dialing *136# and follow the MTN play option until you get to manage subscriptions. The second way to remove the said charge is by logging on to your browser from your device. I have attached the below instructions in order to remove the charge:
Q - How do I cancel a subscription?
Visit the ‘My Subscriptions’ category under ‘My MTN Play’ at WWW.MTNPLAY.CO.ZA on your mobile device. Select the subscription and deactivate.
