Unsolicited marketing
I just received a call from MTN selling some kind of insurance. My questions to the agent was where he obtained my details from and I was told that when I completed RICA my personal details went onto a database and that was where my details were found. The CPA states that I need to have given my explicit consent in order for companies to market to me. I would like for MTN to produce a signed document or voice recording where I consented to receiving marketing. Should they not be able to supply this I will be taking this matter further. Sick of companies that don't comply with legislation.
