Unresolved issue still remains a night mare!

I am yet to receive a call from MTN to resolve a previously posted issue regarding my cell phone that was water damaged during THEIR repair! I have not paid my MTN account this month and have no intention to do so until such a point as they resolve my problem. Further more i am at the point of switching networks as the service i have received is disgusting! Why is it i should be held liable when I sent my faulty phone in under warranty, it was returned to me and the buttons weren't working, i took it back the very next day and now i am liable for that bill after being told it is water damaged? Why is it that when the phone was first sent in no water damage was reported and they proceeded to repair the device under warranty? I suggest this be resolved. One very unhappy client!!!!

Hello Shelton gvm,

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused and for the delayed response. It is was not our intention to have dissatisfied you in any way.

We've managed to locate the booking that was done the first time and see that only the battery was discovered to be faulty and out of warranty.

We've not manage to locate a second booking that was done in order for us to see how the it was determined that the LDI (Liquid Damage Indicator) was discovered to be activated.

The previous request was escalated to the division in question and is still pending, so we've now escalated the matter directly to the management team within our High Volume Repair Centre and also the Regional Manager of the store you visited.

We will need to wait for feedback and we will then touch base with you soon after. Once again we do apologize for the delay.

Regards
Tim
