Unreasonable expectations of new customers

Hi,

Since I have started working I wanted to switch my current cellphone contract to my name and have the debit orders go off my account as opposed to my parents who have been paying for it all along. I earn a substantial amount every month yet MTN have declined me. TWICE! I cannot understand this. The gentleman handling my application claims it may be due to insufficient credit history but I have app**** for, and signed vehicle finance agreements without any hassle. How is it possible that I am allowed to finance a vehicle yet I am declined a simple cell phone contract. The process simply does not make sense to me, and I am not about to go chasing after an organization who does not want to take my money.

As a result I will be switching to another service provider upon expiration of the current contract. I suggest MTN address this flaw in their system before others become frustrated and do the same.

Regards,
