I was a customer of Vodacom before I received several sms's requesting a 'port', it didn't say which company was involved, so I deleted them as I did not want to port to anybody. However when I got a 'No service' on my phone I went into Vodacom to resolve, and was told I had been 'ported' to MTN and there wasn't much I could do about it. So all of a sudden I'm with a different network which I did not give authorization to do so. Is there any way I can get this porting reversed??
Good day Robbie,
Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns and affording us the opportunity to address the same. Kindly accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Please note that MTN cannot port your number from your network without your permission. Vodacom would have to provide you with some sort of proof that the porting request was made. In order to use our network, you would receive an MTN sim card as well.
Kind regards,
Ishie.
