******** fees deducted- check your account!

When my contract came up for renewal 2years ago, I declined a new handset and just renewed the call, data, and sms part of my contract. I noticed my bill amount steadily increasing despite me staying within my contract limits. An increasing ‘BF promotion fee’ has been added to my account for many months. After a lot of enquiry, I found out it refers to the cost of a handset, which I did not get. I corresponded with the bills department and eventually got a part of the fees (the last 5 months) credited. I requested the rest of the contract period’s ******** fees to be credited as well and a revised bill to be sent so I can make any necessary payment. The next day they cut my line. This is both ******** and spiteful. I have been cooperating and stating my willingness to pay, I just need the correct amount. I will be taking it up with the ombudsman. This is not how you treat longterm customers (more than 20years) you want to keep at the end of their contract period, as I am, MTN.
