Unfair increase on subscription
I called Mtn regarding the cancellation of my contract as Mtn is hiking the subscription by 4% this is not fair to the customer who has a budget.they asked me to call back on Monday and there will charge me a cancellation fee...according to the recent article on eat coast radio it is noted according to consumer goods and services ombud mtn failed to advise subscribers have a right to cancel as this is a breach on mtns side ...please have someone contact me regarding the cancellation .

We haven’t increased our subscription prices over the past few years despite the challenging economic environment and the substantial investment that have been made to the network.
We are dedicated to offering our customer’s best quality network and service, but to continue to deliver on this, a review of subscription pricing had to be done.
According to ourSubscriber agreement, Mtn may amend charges from time to time and notify customers in advance. Kindly see below extract Clause 12 :Charges
You voluntarily confirm that the package option or price-plan has been explained to you and that you understand and voluntarily agree to it. You voluntarily agree to accept the charges included with each package option or price-plan (either with or without a mobile device). You must pay all the applicable charges due to us at the rates detailed on our website, your package option or price-plan terms. After any promotion ends charges will revert to the standard charges. By notifying you in advance, we may amend charges from time to time and if you do not accept them, you may end the contract by notifying us, subject to clause 15 (Termination payments).
Please contact 135 and request for the Retentions Department for information regarding early termination.
