UNFAIR BLACK LISTING

In June I contacted MTN to query my outstanding amount and to cancel the contract as it was due. I was 2 months behind and the service was suspended. I spoke to Busisiwe who informed me that my balance was R1500 . I was shocked and pointed out that my monthly subscription is only R380/m so therefore it can only be around R760-R800. She then stated that it was fine for me to pay the R760 in final settlement and the contract will be cancelled. I asked her what her position in MTN was that she was authorized to make this arrangement with me and was told that she had the authority and then gave me a reference number and contact number . On or about 1 July I paid the R760 and a few days later attempted to use the service but it was not active and therefore surely it was terminated. When (late August) renewing my Vodacom contract (which I use for my business) I was told that I may not renew as I was listed a defaulter by MTN. When I contacted MTN they had no Idea who Busisiwe was and told me that the ref number didn't exist. Also the contract was still on a month-month basis and I was now 2 months in arrears.
