A sales consultant contacted me regarding the upgrade of my cellphone contract to which I agreed. To my surprise I received an invoice for a cancelation fee in excess of R500. The consultant did not disclose that this was an early upgrade which would result in such a fee which only came to my attention after an enquiry was made. Does MTN SOUTH AFRICA know this is similar to theft? At a time where the economy is not favorable to consumers surely such a large organization should be transparent with costs relating to contracts?
