<p>My husbandbpassed away in August 2016. He had his mtn number for 3 years. Today i get a call from my mother on law asking me why her dead son is phoning her, what did i do with his phone??</p> <p>I then told her i still have it and it is put away safely.</p> <p> </p> <p>Apparently MTN "recycles" (as customer care puts it) your number after 3 months of inactivity.</p> <p>Let me add that i put his phone on once a month to avoid this!!</p> <p> </p> <p>This is bull****!! So *********, and unacceptable!!! </p> <p>This means that he got my mother in laws number feom usong my late husvands number on whatsapp!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>Customer care wont help me,amd neither would her supervisor!!!!!!!!!</p>

Still waiting. And if your solution is for me to go buy a new sim, RICA it, and do a sim swop WITH security questions that i wont know as it was my husbands phone. We are going to have even more problems.
