Uncaring, unhelpful response to identity theft

When I app**** for a cellphone contract for my son who is a university student it was turned down because there was a bad debt logged against my name and ID number. The address, job, employer, marital status and other details that MTN had under my name were completely wrong. The sales consultant that I had dealt with helped me to submit a number of documents to the MTN Legal Department to report it. The SA ***** Prevention Service said that I would need a report from MTN in order to log a case with them. This is the really helpful, flippant response that I got from the MTN legal Dept:
********** />The date

Y'ello ***X (my name)

Thank you for your email.

Kindly note that your MTN SP account ***3 has been handed over to DEBT COLLECTORS for collection and the numbers to contact them is PHONE NUMBER and they will be able to assist with the balance outstanding on the account and also with the payments arrangements.
********** /> ********** 000

Kind regards,
Ntsudzuluseni Mutheiwane
Legal Department
MTN SA
