UNAUTHORIZED DEBITING OF BANK ACCOUNT
I have now, for several months, battled with MTN to cancel an account.
A contract of mine was cancelled end of January 2017. MTN has sporadically, debited my bank account for this contract that is no longer even in use. Three previous times, I have contacted MTN for refunds thereof which takes about two weeks. So I have to wait for MY money back every time, and be inconvenienced by constantly phoning and / or, trying to contact someone via your Facebook channels, because your communication is pathetic. And every time, a credit is loaded on to my MTN account (that is not supposed to exist) and then I have to fight (again) for the money to be deposited into my bank account.
Last month, after being assured that the problem was now sorted, you debited R369 from my account again. Since I was fed up with begging you for my money, I simply reversed the payment on my bank, after being advised by a friend that it was possible. Yesterday, you debited R688,40 again, which I reversed.
So before you contact me and tell me I owe you money, or blacklist me, I would like you to sort this problem for once and for all!!!! This is really unacceptable and is causing me a lot of inconvenience. I also want to know: for what reason is money is being debited? The sim card doesn't even work anymore so how come you are just debiting money? For what?
While we are on the subject, this started as a contract for a laptop (2 ********** ). In December 2014, I upgraded and took a tablet on this contract. It was R299 per month, but for a few months you debited my account for R369, without explanation. There was still data left over every month so it was definitely not over the limit. When I queried it back then I was told it was because we went over the limit, and not being in the mood to fight, I just left it. Since you have sufficiently ****ed me off now, I also want a detailed statement of account explaining why I was debited more than I should have been, as I NEVER received a statement for this contract.
I would also like to point out, just in case your pathetic service is due to the fact that you believe I am no longer a customer of MTN, I have another contract running with you, and after this useless display of service, I wish I never got it.
As I already took my own money back, what I want is for you TO CANCEL THIS DAMN ACCOUNT AND STOP DEBITING MY BANK ACCOUNT FOR A NON-EXISTENT SERVICE!!!!!! Is this too much to ask for? I no longer wish to speak to call center staff, as they are not sorting this problem. I need a manager to sort this out PLEASE!
