I ended my cell phone contract with MTN on 14th December 2016, after I discovered they had forfeited the balance of my (substantial) remaining minutes. On deciding on a new provider, I decided to review my MTN statements to establish my contract budget. That's when I discovered a monthly charge of R50 for BIS. It perplexed me because I don't remember having ordered BIS on my contract, because I don't have a Blackberry, never ever had one, don't use Blackberry services, and have never used Blackberry services by design, because I've never had a need for it. I would like MTN to prove to me that they had proper authorisation from me to load BIS onto my account. If they can't, (which I believe will be the case) then I want a refund for my entire contract tenure (over two and a half years). This, plus my opening statement above, makes me feel good that I have moved from MTN.
