I am currently being charged R2 of my airtime A DAY for something called MTN AirG. Where this "subscription" came from, I have no idea.

(the SMS's say R2 but I am monitoring the charges and it's been between R2 and R6 a day)

The "Customer services department" keeps asking for my private details, whilst trying to convince me that I signed up for this service.

Yes, I along with a few hundred people all signed up for this service with no knowledge whatsoever, right?

The SMS's give me a link to opt out of this, but as soon as I open the link, it tells me to contact the service desk - why is there a link to unsubscribe if I can't actually unsubscribe on my own?

STOP CONNING PEOPLE.

I suppose you ***** people's airtime through ******* billing, only to resell it to someone else? - As if mobile networks aren't expensive enough.

Another thing - if I am supposedly subscribed to MTN AirG, it would be part of my MTN Play services, right?

Well, guess what? My MTN Play list says I have no active services, so my life just got a little more complicated, you see?

I have read the other Hello Peter reviews about this, and all the official business replies explain how this subscription came to be, but through doing so, clearly insinuates that of *******ity because one does not actually know what he/she got into until the "Reminder SMS" gets sent every month.

But wait, ANOTHER THING.

I know how this works - sometimes the rookies get assigned to handle these reviews because the people who should actually handle social media don't feel likening their job, but I'm kindly asking now that should I receive an official business reply, make sure it's someone that's going to solve this problem NOW and not try to calm me down and give me reference numbers and tell me that it will be sorted out in the next 24hours (which usually never happens)

No one asked for this.

I checked AirG out a few minutes ago after realising I've been billed for it since June this year and I have to say it looks like one ****ty website - it's no wonder you have to con people into paying for it as no one would voluntarily pay for such a thing.

If this review upsets you people at MTN on the other end, just imagine how upset I am to only realise today I have been paying R2-R6 a day, every day, for the past 5 months - that's roughly R600 thus far for a service that I haven't even subscribed to (Yes, remember I mentioned that MTN Play actually notified me that I do not have active services)

Sort this out.

I don't mind spending R150-R200 a week on data and airtime, as well as a recurring 48 month contract, from a different network.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a better day than I am having.
