Unauthorised amount deducted after Sim Contract expiry date.
Dear MTN Customer Service,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding an unauthorized debit from my account after the expiry of my SIM contract with MTN.
My contract was for a duration of three years, and it has recently come to my attention that after the expiry, an amount of R2000 was taken from my account without my consent as I was not contacted in any form—whether by phone, email, or SMS—regarding the upcoming expiry of my contract or any subsequent monthly charges or payment that might be app****.
It is disappointing that I was not provided with any information or options regarding the continuation, renewal, or termination of my contract before its expiry. Given this, I find the this debit order unauthorized.
I was not informed about any potential charges or monthly payments that might apply should the contract not be renewed or terminated.
This lack of communication is unacceptable. I have raised several requests regarding this matter, but none have been resolved.
I demand proof of when and how this information was communicated to me and through which platform or communication channel. If you cannot provide this proof, I expect the R2,000 deducted from my account to be reversed immediately.
The worse part is I had to immediately renew my contract to avoid being debited with the amount on a month to month basis and after I renewal of my Contract inside the Store, the consultants failed to produce a copy of my new contract to me.
The worse and the most ***** Service Provider!
Regards, Khethiwe
