Unable to cancel

I have tried on numerous occasions for about a year now to cancel 1 cellphone number from my contract. My daughter is no longer using the number and MTN is useless at this cancellation. I have emailed and called on numerous occasions and get told I will receive an email which never comes through. They are quick to email to invoices but cannot seem to reply about the cancellation.
