*****ulent Subscriptions

From time to time, especially after recharging, I get unsolicited subscription services which, if I miss the sms that informs me that I subscribed even though I haven’t, depletes my airtime quite fast. I phoned last week to report this *****ulent practice and was told to dial *155# and choose option 0 – more and 4 to block all future subscriptions.

This morning, an hour after recharging I got an sms thanking me for subscribing to “Unlock Yellow”. I tried to remove that throughout the day but was unsuccessful with a message that an error has occurred and must try again later. I phoned in to customer service and got Mponeng who was very arrogant and unhelpful, obviously thinking that I’m stupid and/or lying as she insisted there was no option to block subscriptions.

I should not be getting any subscriptions that I never asked for and worse still after blocking them. I’m the only person using this phone and this *****ulent way of making money out if us is unacceptable.
