Two weeks later and still no answer from ***** dep

My husband was the victim of a smash and grab on the evening of 27th May and they stole his cellphone. I tried to phone MTN so that they could block the phone but there was a recording that said that their services had been interrupted which I assumed was because of the strike. I tried the self help but it would not accept the pin that I know for a fact was correct. The next morning when I eventually got through I was told that my husband's phone which was on a contract had overseas calls which was done overnight of over R40000.00. This has caused major problems as the case is now in the hands of their ***** department as we refuse to pay this amount. We could not get hold of MTN and I could not stay on the phone for hours waiting for someone to kindly answer my call as first of all my husband was hurt and we needed to also go to the police station to report the case. Now my husband cannot get a new phone and his account is frozen. My husband uses this phone for business purposes and tomorrow it will be two weeks since this has happened and we have still not had a resolution to this problem. Why does the customer have to suffer because of MTN's internal problems? Pathetic Service.
