Two months to cancel a contract

MTN uses 3rd party company (Chanel Mobile ) to contact you for upgrades, in my case we agreed (3rd August 2017) but the devices did not arrive so we decided as the contract was not valid we will cancel it and go in store (30 August 2017)

The contract was fully charged over two months and multiple contacts and references numbers resulted in nothing, we drove to the HQ and find out they have no customer centre ( like Vodaworld). after an extensive wait on the 10th October 2017 at the HQ we managed to get the contracts reversed and put to normal prepaid... with the promise of a refund for the device part on the contract that was charged as the data and airtime was used. So far no refund.

With this incident we decided to get all the details from MTN to report to ICASA and National Consumer Commission as it violated many regulations and laws pertaining to contracts and service. REF: FMC ********** 5305, this was not given as requested and many calls to the customer centres in Randburg gets you no where.

Stay away from MTN they do not care about customers or the regulations in South Africa

Please note that a request has been logged to provide credit as promised of which a private mail will be sent for the reference to be shared. As mentioned over the phone, the refund should reflect by no later than Monday and will enquire about the report of complaint too.
