Trying to cancel for three months
I have been contacting and sending MTN emails since April 2 0 1 5 to cancel my MTN contract and convert my number to prepaid. Firstly, they refused to give me a settlement quotation other than telling me my unbilled. Then they suddenly give me different amounts which I have to pay for my handset - different to the amount that I have been paying so far.

I have sent MTN around 8 instruction emails to cancel my account. I have twice submitted a cancellation request through their website and visited the MTN store in Mall@reds so far twice and spoke to Jay who doesn't come back to me and does not assist in cancelling my contract. I have now lodged a National Credit Regulator complaint against MTN.

I want to please warn all subscribers, do not take out a contract with MTN. They break the law and refuse to cancel or supply you with settlement amounts. They do not come back to their subscribers and once you signed they treat you like sh*t.

I do not have a bank account anymore since I have been retrenched so my debit order will not go off. I have been trying to warn and plead with them for months, they do not listen. As soon as they do not get money, maybe they will then come back to me
