Troubles with blocking my simcard

Hello, I called mtn to block my simcard because I lost my phone and they hacked my simcard. The ****mer is now texting people on whatsapp borrowing money. The consultant said I have to wait up to 24 hours. I also went to the branch and they said they reversed the simswap that the ****mer did but unfortunately since i lost my phone and cannot restart the phone it wont work and thus i have to wait for the 24 hours. I can't wait that long because people are giving this person the money 😭 please assist as soon as possible.
