Treated like an idiot

A few weeks ago (longer than a month now) I ordered a phone referred to as "MTN's tamagochi" it costs R 249.00, and has WhatsApp and Facebook, and is MTN's own product. At first I was told that it is out of stock and it has been ordered. After about two weeks this phone still had not seen the light of day. Note, this MTN store is situated in the Liberty building in Braamfontein. A lady by the name of Mpofi ( Not sure if it's her real name) kept telling me to go to the Carlton Centre to buy the phone because they stock enough of this device. Afterwards Mpho Damons started singing the same song. I told them that there is no way I am putting in the effort to go somewhere else to buy a phone when I've got an MTN store in my work building. Eventually they encouraged me to go to a mall to get the phone. Only last week their tune took another turn. Suddenly Mpofi told me that they don't really specialise in pay as you go phones, only contracts. Note, nowhere in any MTN store have I ever seen a sign indicating that they only deal in this or that. To get me to shut up, Mpho Damons told me that she had ordered the phone from some Standard Bank building, and would be delivered last Thursday. Come Thursday, still no phone. She still treated the matter as if it was some joke. Mind you, I threatened these two ladies continuously that I would report the matter to "Hello Peter", and still it didn't faze them. They actually treated me like I was some kind of retard just threatening them. As if their lack of interest, and total disregard for me wasn't enough, Mpho actually had the audacity to keep grinning and treating me like some kind if stupid child every time I walked in there, as if me ordering a phone meant nothing. Mpofi made it very clear that I could order that phone till the end of time, she was not going to entertain me or my request. To crown it all, their manager, a mister Mashiloane, heard my complaint, and has till this very day not done anything about the matter. Does buying a cheap phone from MTN, advertised in MTN's brochure not count for anything? Am I going to have to wait until this device is no longer produced before I am treated like a client?
