Transfer of Ownsership Fees

I took over a contract from a friend who was leaving the country. We went to the Melrose Arch branch and filled in all the paperwork and submitted documents. on the 12 June 2015. After that, we didn't receive communication from them until my friend's account got debited in July. After many calls and emails, the contract was only transferred to me in August. I then got debited R732. When I called, they said it was due to a transfer ownership fee of R150. But to my knowledge, Im supposed to be paying R400 per month, so the total should have been R550 inc fee. I have called and emailed and gotten no assistance all week. I haven't even received an email confirming that I'm the new owner of the contract or any other necessary details! Is this MTN's \amazing"service to new customers? If so"
