My phone was suddenly suspended and I received an SMS to say I had exceeded my credit limit which is R5000. <br> Firstly I tried to phone their call centre eight times. It was not operational over a period of three days. I kept getting a message that they were busy then they cut off the call. I then checked my bank account and found the amount owing at the end of April had gone through my account. I checked my balance online with MTN and it stated I owed R1528,23 but not yet due. I fail to understand why they suspended my line as this is well below the limit and I have had a contract with them for many years. I then emailed their customer service since it was impossible to reach them in any other way. I received a reply to say my credit limit had been exceeded and that I owed the amount mentioned above and that I would be using my phone at my own peril. I think MTN customer service is terrible and I will not be taking out any new contracts with them... Once you sign the contract they couldn't give a damn.
