Titanic of smartphones ? It wasn't supposed to'sink'...
<p>i bought a Sony M4 aqua on contract from an MTN outlet.<br />It's (and still is) under warranty. Recently the phone started acting up so i took it in<br />MTN sent it to the Sony service center. They returned the phone about a week or so later claiming it had liquid damage and thus it was "BER - Beyond Economical Repair" due to liquid damage - which is ridiculous because they claim the phone is waterproof - additionally the phone has never touched sea water or been submerged in water and anytime it has come into contact with water all the ports were sealed. They say i should "dispose of the phone of in an environmentally friendly manner" and i'm still liable to continue paying for the contract that remains.(If anyone can , Please assist me on how to handle the situation as i'm being **********!)</p>

To those who have read his post it's been a week since mtn has rep**** here and i've still not gotten a response. I had to go ahead and spend money on a back up phone as use my phone for business. I was hoping it would'nt be such a mission ,but I will take the matter to a lawyer and the local media should i not get a reply by friday - I will keep the post here updated. Hopefully I get some sort of response before then.
