TIRED OF POOR SERVICE AND BAD ATTITUDE

I was due for an upgrade around May 2015 but due to MTN being on strike for over 2 months, I was unable to upgrade. Hence I was automatically put on a month to month contract. My understanding is that the terms of the contract should remain the same. However, MTN is billing me incorrectly. I have BIS hence I should not be charged for data usage, and NO, I don't download movies or songs on my cellphone. I called 808 twice in 2 weeks, reference numbers *** and *** and after being assured both times that someone from the billing dept. will call me back, nobody did. I went into a walk-in store and still no joy. Why can't MTN be like Vodacom and have the billing dept. assist you when you call in?? Why should they have to call you back?? Which they don't do anyway. So tired of poor service. Considered changing to Vodacom or Cell C, but from the complaints on Hello Peter, it's a case of \better the devil you know". """

Hello Ms Unhappy,

Thank you for taking time to raise your concerns with MTN, please accept our apologies for the delayed response and for any inconveniences caused.

Please note that all data charges for invoices 2015-06-10 and 2015-07-10 are valid as it states on your statement, your charges are billed at 99c per megabyte.

For advise on how to avoid charges when connecting to internet using a Blackberry, please contact our Data specialists on 1555 (free from an MTN line) or *** (chargeable from a non MTN line).

Kind Regards
Itumeleng Rakoena
