Time wasting

I was contacted by MTN retentions in Feb 2021 and I was offered a new 24 month, sim only contract to replace the contract which had expired in January (YES, MTN CALLED ME). After some lengthy confirmations this was agreed to and confirmed to undertake processing. Later in February my contract had still not been processed and into March still on the old contract and suddenly my phone service cancelled because I had an outstanding balance (?!). Amazing when MTN collects what I owe by debit order. When I phoned to try resolve the matter it was stated that I MUST REMEMBER that MTN had a new system and that THEY had not allocated one of my payments correctly in the transfer of systems. This was rectified however there was a R 50 outstanding amount. Because MTN had not updated my debit order in the change in rates (which took place without any notification) there was a difference in the amount owed from month to month. I made this payment through the app. I was then given a number for sales/retentions who informed me the reason why my contract was never processed was because... I had R 50 (!) outstanding. No one ever contacted me to point this out - they just stopped and cancelled the contract! I was told no problem - just settle the amount and phone us back to reinstate the new contract. I phone back once the payment is cleared... sales cannot see that contract being available and cannot get hold of anyone who can. Clearly enjoy wasting my time and treating long term client with no care.
