Time to move to VODACOM
My phone was upgraded in August. The upgrade was approved and I have been debited for my new phone. However I have still not received the handset despite my account being debited monthly. I have heard many different reasons for this being the case but I cannot believe it takes 6 months to receive a handset as part of an upgrade.
The problem is that we are none the wiser as to what is actually going on. If it was a system error then I would have expected the upgrade not to be loaded onto the system. No one has been able to adequately explain what is going on and hence my frustration levels are reaching a high state. On Wednesday I spoke to Sharon at MTN Cascades centre in Pietermaritzburg. She informed me that the upgrade has now been declined. But how can this be when I am being debited? Has my phone been sold to someone else and is MTN making a double profit??
In addition to this , we tried to buy a data contract for my son at the end of November. Again - there has been absolutely no feedback and on numerous occasions I have requested updates ( I have the emails) but I have not been given any adequate feedback.
This data contract has been outstanding since the end of November, and hence my son has been without a phone throughout December and now into January. Again - no feedback or ability to actually talk to anyone to see what needs to be done.
I am finding it extremely difficult to remain loyal to MTN. If this is not resolved immediately we will be moving all our contracts to vodacom.
