I have been an MTN customer since March 2002. Currently I'm on a 2 year corporate contract and have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge phone. I dropped my phone in the first week and the glass at the back of the phone cracked. Then I was told by my closest MTN branch, MTN N1 City in Goodwood, Cape Town that I only have one FREE glass fix during during my contract period and so the lady suggested that I wait until the second year of my contract to have the phone fixed. So I did exactly that and am now being told by staff at the MTN branch in Table Bay mall, also in Cape Town that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge can only be fixed for free during the first year of the contract! Then when I showed them that it doesn't mention this on my contract document I was informed that is simply the rule. They then sent my phone to CameraTek and today I was quoted R3422.40 to fix my phone, which I can't afford. Just shows you, big corporate's just don't care, even after being a 'always paid on time customer' for over 16 years! So it's time to move on.
