They want to charge me for a first sim swap which must be free

<p>I have a contract with MTN for the last 6 years or so. According to their website the first sim swap is free on contract. THen they charge you. I went to Birch Acres Mall to do a sim swap and they wanted to charge me. I told them it was my first and it should be free. I was then told I have to show them my previous sim card so they can do a sim swap.</p> <p>I took the contract for my wif. She lost her phone and so I don't have a sim card to present as proof of whatever I don't know. If they say free sim swap why must I present my old sim card? MTN owes me a free sim swap and that's what they should do and not come up with stories.</p> <p>It is cheaper for me to cancel my contract and port my number to another provider than to do a sim swap. I thank God I didn't upgrade the contract when it was due for it. Now I would be stuck with them. I WILL NOT PAY FOR A SIM SWAP WHEN IT MUST BE FREE> I WILL RATHER CANCEL THE CONTRACT AND MOVE SOMEWHERE> IT WILL ACTUALLY SAVE ME MONEY THAN PAYING FOR A STUPID SIM SWAP.</p> <p>Please send me a cancelling figures and process so I can cancel this and free my wife's number.
