They just dont listen or care about loyal customers

I took out an Mtn contract in July 2016. I specifically wanted my contract capped at a set amount of data and calls (which the Woodlands consultant assurred me was the case). All went well for the first 6 months with my debit order being the same - R639.00 per month (thus i had no reason to doubt the cap wasnt in place). But then suddenly I was debited R1 243.19 (28 Feb) and another R 1 639 (31 Mar) - I reversed the debit order only only paid R639 via EFT.

I logged a formal complaint and the consultant merely explained it had something to do with Packet Switched Data Calls?...BUT even if it was that - my contract was not suppossed to allow me to go over the capped amounts!! That was my entire argument.

I wanted MTN to correct my account to R639.00 for the past 2 months (credit me the excess amount charged...but they never even commented on that request)

Realising that I was not getting anywhere (after getting smsed that my account will be suspended), I called to request that a payment plan be put in place. The consultant who assisted me assured all was in order and I could pay R200.00 per month against the arrears plus my current month's invoice. Nonhlanhla Hadebe assisted me and when I asked for a refererence number she gave me her name and said I could just ask for her. NEXT day my account was suspended! (after the whole arrangement). I called MTN (808) and I asked to speak to Nonhlanhla and in the background she said "what does she want?" and her colleague had to deal with me as she clearly didnt want to.

It is so frustrating dealing with a service provider (to whom you've been a loyal customer for over 20 years) and you feel like no one is listening...and when you concede to make payment arrangements even that doesnt help.....my Ref No for the this dispute: ********** 2.

A gesture from MTN of goodwill would be appreciated for all the drama I have had to experience!!
