18th January 2022 I phoned MTN to cancel my router contract that I took in 2019, and they gave me reference number for the call. But I didn't write it down. A week ago I was called by debt collectors saying that I owe MTN and they took my case to them, i told them thst I don't have account with MTN knowing that I cancelled it in January.

I called MTN I couldn't go through to talk to constant, then I spoke to someone on Messanger and told me that I must give me reference No or else he can't help me, I gave him my ID number to check and said the account was never cancelled and I didn't request for cancelation, I told him thst I must give him reference No or else he won't be able to help me. I went to MTN store at Greenstone mall, the guy checked with my ID number and confirmed that I called MTN on the 18th January requesting for cancelation of the contract and gave me reference No for that day. And td me that it was still not closed. Something that Mr X on messanger "could not see after giving him my ID No" claiming I must give him reference No or else they can't help me, I went back to Mr X to give him reference No, he "apologised" and said that my query was sent to Retention, I even send an email to that Retention and no one came back to me.

Someone didn't do their work in January and now I was taken to debt collectors for the contract that I requested to be cancelled and they didn't. PLEASE CLOSE THE ACCOUNT AND CANCEL MY QUERY FROM DEBT CLECTORS AND DO YOUR WORK.
